The annual soccer game was played on the College of Humanities soccer fields in Cheshire, CT. It started at 10:20 am and finished at 12:00pm.
This is a long-awaited soccer game because it is an opportunity to play as a generation as a team and enjoy and rest with your brothers.
After the two teams formed a soccer lineup, the ball rolled over the grass. At minute fifteen, Br. Oscar Jauregui, L.C., a second-year humanist brother, scored by a header and passed through the goal guarded by Br. João Konfidera, L.C. That was the first of three goals scored by Br. Oscar.
Br. Santiago Canton, L.C. also scored a hat trick (three goals made by one player), but the impressive fact was that he scored one with his right foot, later with his left one, and finally with his head. Definitely, today was his day.
The ball was in the air when Br. Juan Diego Leon, L.C. nailed the ball in the goal. The goalie did not have time to react. It was a perfect shot.
The final goal for the second-year brothers was made by Br. Mateo Marin, L.C. He took advantage and scored.
For the first-year brothers, the score was opened by Br. Daniel Castellanos, L.C., with the help of Br. Andres Marcos, L.C., was able to score two goals for his team.
The score finished 8-2.
This game was an opportunity to rest as a community and grow in brotherhood among the brothers’ generation. This soccer game is played yearly, the brothers wait for it during the cold winter, and finally, it is here! Now we need to wait until next year.
