Timothy Kearns has a B.A. in Classics from the University of Texas at Austin. He studied Patristic and Byzantine Greek at Dumbarton Oaks in Washington, DC. He received his M.A. (2007) and Ph.D. (2014) in Medieval and Byzantine Studies from The Catholic University of America. His dissertation on St. Augustine’s On Christian Learning shows how this text subordinates all pursuit of knowledge to the inquiry each person must make into his own life, an inquiry whose goal is Truth Himself. Dr. Kearns teaches Greek and Latin.
