The session will be devoted to interpreting a short letter by Seneca the Younger (Letter #28 from the
Epistulae Morales), a Stoic philosopher and writer of tragedies who died in 65 C.E. The letter first addresses the question of how travel relates to the soul, then moves on to other topics. It's written in a direct, colorful, conversational, engaging manner intended to make its message easy to accept. The style is scarcely less important than the content.
