On Tuesday, November 14
th, we had the opportunity to visit the Frick Collection and the MET, in New York City. These are great opportunities to see firsthand what they have studied. The Frick Collection presented a special exhibition of Murillo’s portraits, which we spent time studying and discussing.
In the afternoon, we paid a short visit to the MET (Metropolitan Museum of Art) close-by on occasion of a special exhibition on Michelangelo’s artwork and drawings. We could admire a stunning range and number of works by the artist: 133 of his drawings, three of his marble sculptures, his earliest painting, and much more. After the visit, we enjoyed a delicious Italian meal provided by a friend of ours.
