One of our favorite things in Cheshire is to sing, and on July 14
th, we were blessed with the opportunity to do so in a very special way. That day, some members of the choir visited the
Trapp Family Lodge, run by members of the very family shown in the famous musical
The Sound of Music. The brothers were invited to offer a concert to the guests of the resort.
At arriving, the choir members had a tour around the property. The guide explained the history of the lodge and of the Trapp family. Afterwards, they were invited for lunch, during which they had the opportunity to meet Sam von Trapp, grandson of Georg and Maria von Trapp.
The concert started at four in the afternoon. The choir was honored with the special presence of Rosemarie von Trapp, Georg and Maria’s first daughter. The choir performed songs from different countries and languages, including some in the German language, with reference to the origins of the Trapp family.
Through their songs, the brothers of the choir showed the beauty of music. This beauty has inspired countless generations of people through the ages, including our hosts at the lodge, the Trapp family.
We are grateful to the Trapp family and the Trapp Family Lodge for the opportunity to bring our passion for music to such a special place and to share our love for Christ by using the gifts and talents that he has given to each one of us.
